Technology

Technology platform built for real-world deployment.

Explore the compact platform architecture, power delivery pathway, and development status that shape Kinaatic’s approach to site-led clean energy generation.

The Platform

A compact enclosed vertical wind platform designed for modern deployment conditions.

Built for sites where conventional tower-mounted wind systems may not be practical, the Kinaatic platform brings together controlled form, modular output potential, and application flexibility for evolving energy environments.

~3 mph Start-up airflow threshold for low-speed operating conditions
5-150 kW Modular output range to support different project sizes and site strategies
480 V DC Conditioned electrical output aligned with structured downstream integration
Tower-free Enclosed airfoil cage architecture for compact placement and deployment flexibility
Power Where It Is Needed

Generation at the point of use, with a compact footprint and integrated power path.

Kinaatic is focused on bringing practical onsite generation to energy-intensive, constrained, and remote sites where grid connections can be slow, costly, or unavailable.

01

Generate At The Point Of Use

Behind-the-meter generation puts new capacity where electricity is actually consumed.

02

No Tower, Compact Footprint

An enclosed airfoil ring sits on a compact frame designed for constrained environments.

03

Works In Light And Variable Wind

The cage is designed to capture airflow from any direction and begin producing at low wind speeds.

04

Integrated Power Path

Power electronics, buffering, and AI-managed controls route energy to load, storage, or grid.

Platform Status

The platform and where it stands.

Kinaatic is developing commercial opportunities around the Gen 3 platform across target markets. The characteristics below are presented as developer-stated guidance and remain aligned to validation and testing milestones.

ConfigurationVertical, enclosed ring of airfoils; no tower
Start-up AirflowAround 3 mph
Output ClassModular, 5-150 kW class; exact rating set after Gen 3 testing
Electrical OutputVariable AC converted to conditioned 480 V DC
StorageSupercapacitor buffer; battery-agnostic architecture
ControlsAI-managed power path to load, storage, or grid

Development path

2016-2018 Gen 1

Concept and R&D stage with early prototypes built and low-speed wind capture proven.

2023-2024 Gen 2A

Field testing at 480 V with units reported to have powered an 11,000 sq ft facility.

2025 Gen 2B

Two further machines built to test manufacturing, materials, and repeatability.

2026 Gen 3

First commercial-ready build, now in development, testing, and validation.

Validation Status And Transparency

Gen 3 is the first build made for full validation. Certified and published performance will follow Gen 3 testing. Until then, energy figures are modelled estimates, not guarantees.
